Spice It Up

The Kimuchi making workshop went very well.

Due to the cancellation there is only one participant (many thanks for Ms. M!!!), but we had a great time together.

I have discovered she is quite an adventurous cook/eater and loves spicy food. I had samples, one was mild and the other quite spicy. And guess what, she even preferred spicier! She was quite happy and excited at her creation, which made me really happy.

I do this as my job and I enjoy it. The workshop hosting surely spices up my life. I get the motivation to plan, practice, perform and clean up.

To me, working for someone else or being full time house wife is the comfortable blanket. If I wanted to live with less challenges, I would choose either of them. But no risk no gain. I decided to challenge. Starting my own business was a big step. I, originally rather shy than social, officially started inviting people to come to me.

Then I learned. Involving people intentionally is just like a spice. You don’t want it all the time, but it certainly has the addictive punch. It makes plain thing dramatic and lively. Each person is different. Each time is different. Depending on the combination, the dish gets hot, mellow, savory, sweet, rich, refreshing and so on. Sometimes it can be overwhelming, but the variation really enriches your life.

You probably don’t want Kimuchi every single day, but once in a while it may taste okay or even unforgettably delicious. You’ll never know unless you try. Sometime spice up your day, enjoy your life.
